What is it?

Vape Any Wear is a personal vapour filtration accessory designed to reduce visible vapour and odour when vaping in shared or enclosed environments. The product allows users to exhale through a compact filter unit, helping minimise vapour impact on others while maintaining a normal vaping experience.

I developed Vape Any Wear end-to-end: from early concept and market insight through product engineering, manufacturing strategy, branding, and commercial rollout within a highly regulated consumer category.

Problem Discovery & Market Insight

As vaping became more widespread, a clear social friction emerged. While users valued vaping as an alternative to smoking, visible vapour clouds and lingering odour were increasingly unwelcome in shared or semi-public spaces.

Rather than modifying vape devices themselves — which would introduce regulatory and technical complexity — I identified exhale-side filtration as a universal, device-agnostic solution. Vape Any Wear was conceived as a behavioural and etiquette-led product: something that allowed users to be discreet and considerate without compromising their own experience.

Early validation focused on:


  • Vapour visibility reduction

  • Odour mitigation

  • Ease of use without altering existing vape hardware

  • Broad compatibility across devices and user types

Product Design & Engineering

Vape Any Wear was engineered as a standalone filtration unit, optimised for simplicity, comfort, and manufacturability.

Key design considerations included:


  • Controlled airflow to avoid restrictive draw

  • Internal filtration media to condense and diffuse vapour

  • Compact, pocketable form factor

  • Intuitive, one-handed use

The internal structure and materials were selected to balance filtration effectiveness with user comfort, ensuring the product felt natural to use rather than intrusive or awkward.

Manufacturing & Supply Chain

The product was designed specifically for high-volume, cost-effective manufacture, with attention given to:


  • Injection-mouldable housing geometry

  • Repeatable internal assembly

  • Consistent quality at consumer price points

The manufacturing strategy prioritised scalability and reliability, allowing the product to move beyond prototyping into genuine commercial production without redesign.

Branding, Positioning & Commercial Launch

Vape Any Wear was positioned deliberately as a considerate lifestyle accessory, not a novelty or medical device. This distinction was critical within the vaping market, where regulation, perception, and language matter.

Branding and messaging focused on:


  • Respect for shared environments

  • Personal responsibility rather than restriction

  • Compatibility with all vape devices

The product was launched commercially and distributed through online retail and vape-industry channels, reaching both direct consumers and trade customers.

Regulatory & Market Navigation

Operating within the vaping sector required careful navigation of advertising and compliance constraints.

By remaining an accessory rather than a vaping device, Vape Any Wear avoided direct regulatory barriers associated with nicotine delivery systems, while still addressing a real behavioural need within the market. No therapeutic or health claims were made, ensuring the product remained commercially viable and legally robust.
